A concept unique to the leisure industry, Flexi Club was established in 1990 in South Africa, to meet the discerning holiday needs of South African families. Over the years Flexi Club has grown dramatically and has expanded further afield to Swaziland and Zimbabwe as well as into other continents including the United Kingdom and Europe. Flexi Club is managed by Club Leisure Management (Pty) Ltd which manages and co-ordinates the activities of several leisure and resort accommodation clubs around the world. By means of reciprocity between these clubs, as well as agreements with other exchange companies, Flexi Club members have access to 3 500 resorts worldwide.
One of the founder members of the Group, South African born Anthony (Tony) Ridl, a chartered accountant and a lateral thinking strategist, established his mark early on in the organization. With over 20 years experience in the leisure industry, Tony is recognized and admired throughout the industry for his ability to accurately assess market trends. Tony is instrumental in designing, developing and launching innovative products and services to maximise emerging market opportunities.
Pretoria born Stuart Lamont, a leading property developer from KwaZulu-Natal's South Coast in South Africa, joined the Group in 1994. He focuses on developing and implementing technologically advanced, measurable systems, procedures and quality of service, throughout every aspect of Flexi Club. Stuart's experience in property development and resort management, together with his keen attention to detail and exceptional negotiating skills, have led the group to acquire and develop numerous exciting products to meet the ever changing needs of the dynamic South African market. These include Off Beat Holiday Club, Club Trafalgar, Rainbow Holiday Club, Corporate Club, Premier Vacation Club, Holiday Access, Leisure Life Travel Club and numerous other key leisure properties.
Club Leisure Group is one of the biggest leisure management and vacation ownership organization in Southern Africa. The Group has operations across five continents, providing superior vacation ownership and other related leisure services to it’s over 200 000 members. The Club is administered at all times in the best interests of the Members, by a Board of Trustees, a number of whom are elected by individual Club Members at the Annual General Meeting. |
