At Midlands Saddle and Trout you can choose whether to enjoy an active holiday or simply relax and soak up the wonderful views over meadows, dams, streams and hills. You can spoil yourself at the wellness centre or take a break from cooking and visit the onsite restaurant for scrumptious lunches and dinners. Activities available onsite include trout fishing, canoeing, tennis, golf, horse riding and hiking. There is a lot to keep the younger set busy such as a games room, jungle gym and indoor play area. Every Saturday night the resort hosts a boma braai featuring entertainment by the resident Zulu dancers.... |

Directions from Durban to Midlands Saddle & Trout Resort: From Durban, take the N3 highway to Mooi River, travel through the Mooi Plaza and go on for about 7km. You will see the board on the N3 that shows Hidcote / Midlands Saddle & Trout Resort. Take the Hidcote off-ramp on the left. At the stop, turn left and continue along the road for about 4.5km, turn right at the sign board for Midlands Saddle & Trout and continue up the hill, the first turn on your left is the entrance to the resort. Directions from JHB to Midlands Saddle & Trout Resort: From JHB, take the N3 highway to Durban, travel about 25km past Estcourt on the way to Mooi River. About 10km before Mooi River, take the Hidcote / Midlands Saddle & Trout off-ramp on the left. At the stop, turn right & continue along the road for about 4.5 km, turn right at the sign board for Midlands Saddle & Trout and continue up the hill, the first turn on your left is the entrance to the resort.
