Archaeological artefacts of astonishing wealth and significance have been discovered here in the Northern reaches of South Africa, particularly at the Sterkfontein caves and even more so at Taung. This site yielded a hominid skull of such importance that it pushed forward documented occupation of Africa by 1 million years. Golfing and other exciting activities are in no short supply - water sports, paragliding, hot air ballooning, horse riding and hang gliding. |
